Announcing The Release of My First Book 'Enterprise Mobility Strategies & Solutions'

“In many ways it is the struggle to get your books seen, heard about, talked about – in short, made visible in an increasingly crowded and noisy marketplace – that is where the real battle in publishing is taking place today.” – Merchants of Culture, John B Thompson

As aptly said above, I have always been a voracious reader but never realized that I could pen down one by myself and its like a dream come true with my first book having been released. It’s a real roller-coaster ride & joy having written a book on “Enterprise Mobility Strategy & Solutions”, a subject which is I is widely used by CEO’s, CTO’s and decision-makers.

It’s always easy to finish reading a book, but when it comes to black on white it’s a like a mountainous task, but having a will to be a writer and an edge in getting in-sight about enterprise mobility strategies from decision makers, CEO’s, CTO’s and best industry talents, so I set my foot to hit the market with unique flavor on enterprise mobility.

I have gone through lot of books on enterprise mobility but never been satisfied as I always felt its been in-complete; so the basic idea behind to shape this book was to help the market leaders in getting more insight about what enterprise mobility does? and how it’s going to be beneficial to their business. I have tried to cover almost all areas by giving practical case-studies which the user will come across that are relevant to their business needs. It also warns them and provides them with a resolution about the obstacles and setback that they may face.

The book spreads across 4 major sections which further unfolds into thirteen chapters and the 4 sections are:

  1. The Mobility Revolution
  2. Enterprise Mobility in the Workplace
  3. The Scope of Enterprise Mobility
  4. Other Aspects of Enterprise Mobility

The book does not limit itself to enterprise mobility but the reader can also explore more on Mobile Device Management (MDM), BYOD, and Mobile Security.

This is a fascinating book which I am sure the business owners would not wait for a second to grab this book and get more from this enterprise mobility.

Failure after Success

Why is Failure called The Stepping Stones to Success?

Failure after Success

Entrepreneurs do not like to fail in business. Over the years, I’ve learnt that failure is nothing to be afraid of. This is a fact that failure leads to success.

Most of the people who avoid failure should understand that we develop better ways of doing things by learning from our mistakes.

Frequent Experimentation:

Thomas Edison experimented thousands of filaments before he found the bulb that he could lit. It takes years of failed experiments to get an amazing result. That’s how businesses work. The business owners should not be afraid of risks that can occur due to innovation. Keep experimenting with new techniques and result will come eventually.

Create a work environment within your organization where experimentation can flourish. I, myself am very keen to experiment new methodologies to make a huge impact on my business.

Why Fear Failure?

I’ve never feared failure because it teaches us to be stronger. It illuminates the steeping stones that you will be using for heading towards success. If something knocks you down, smash it and use it as a stepping stone.

Take one step forward and you will surely make it to the top.

I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying. by Michael Jordan

Set Goals and Take Challenges:

If you want to succeed in today’s competitive market, you should set the business goals and work harder to accomplish them.

Take up the challenges that come along your way and overcome the hurdles. Stay focused and achieve the goals. You may have to make a few sacrifices for that while making your business grow. Do not hesitate to sacrifice and Get the work done.

Stay Positive:

When you feel low about something, remember that you are capable of doing what you want to and there’s nothing in the world that can stop you. Be clear of what you want to achieve and focus on it.

Don’t Fear Shame:

It’s okay to fail at times. Isn’t it?

When you fail, remember that you’re not alone. Share your failures with other people and get their feedback as this would help you stay confident and teach you a lot many things.

So, follow your heart and live your dreams!

Get Shit Done Culture

Defining a Work Culture – How It Can Shape the Future of Your Company

Get Shit Done Culture

In my previous blog post, I mentioned how maintaining a positive work environment can drastically improve the running of a company. My employees are always my first priority, since I feel they are the back-bone of any organisation. A positive environment is an important part of a work culture, allowing employees to be eager to work harder and better.

The corporate world is a hard and fast one, making it quite easy for us to forget about the human element in it. This is a mistake no business or organisation, anywhere in the world should forget. The employees are a vital driving force behind the growth of any organisation, and it is important to nurture them and make them feel appreciated.

Even if a business has grown considerably, backed with talented workers, it can all come crashing down if the company doesn’t follow a certain work culture. Here are some points I feel one should keep in mind when trying to define a certain culture for their organisation.

Positive Vibes

The first and foremost thing is have a positive working environment. It’s more essential than one might think; managers and business leaders will know the importance of it. By having a positive vibe in your workplace, the overall output for work is bound to increase, along with it being appreciated by all the employees.

Keep a Smile on that Face

At Space-O, it’s all about being happy. We believe that by being happy, we can keep our clients and customers happy as well. This way, the employees will feel more valued for their work, and will strive to be more efficient and focused on their work. Thus, leaders should know the value of the employees, as they can be a company’s greatest assets.

Let the employees have a mind of their own

We always invite our workers to bring out their own creative ideas and insights, which will enable to be more passionate at work. This thereby encourages the employees to showcase their enthusiasm at work.

Get Shit Done- That’s our motto

At Space-O, we follow a “Get Shit Done” culture. This literally means that we must get the work done at any cost possible. It is also essential that the quality of the work must be to our utmost potential. There is no place for procrastinators and others who don’t follow this philosophy.

A good work culture ideally means waking up every day with great enthusiasm and zest to work for the company you love.

5 Tips to Maintain a Positive Work Environment in your Company

Positive Work Environment Tips by Rakesh Patel
Besides just working all the time, it is important that every CEO or business owner must keep their employees satisfied with what they are doing. My motto is to stay positive throughout as it affects the growth and success of the company. It is necessary that every worker must be valued while at work, because they’re the ones that work hard and contribute massively to the business.

Although luring newer employees and out-of-the-box thinkers is no simple task, I have some tips that I’ve learned through years of experience. These are bound to keep a positive aura in your working environment, along with a sense of fulfillment in the job.

Keeping a Positive Attitude

This is what I feel is the most important aspect of growing a successful company. If every leader shows this attribute, every worker will look up to him to be guided along the way. Whatever the scenario may be, having a smile on one’s face will relieve the staff of all tension and worries. There is no end to what can be achieved by doing this.

Motivate every Employee

It is vital that the boss motivates each of his workers to strive to achieve more. This can be done by celebrating achievements, birthdays and other events, without it being an expensive affair. This will make the employee feel like he or she is a part of this company. By doing so, the workers will also be looking forward to working harder as it will be more rewarding for them.

Appreciate the Work

It’s not just the incentives and benefits that will boost the morale of the employee, but by appreciating them for the work done, they will go a long way. Every worker wants to be appreciated for what they do, and by personally seeing to this will give them exactly what they need. There is no greater reward than being praised about your work by the boss himself.

Delegate Responsibility

Doing the same work over and over again will lead to monotony and stagnation of work, making the employee wish he’d retire sooner. The owner must not hesitate in granting them newer responsibilities. This will enable them to build their own self-confidence, allowing them to think more creatively and innovatively.

Socialization equals Happiness

Yes, believe it or not. This is true for any business. By constantly staying in touch with your colleagues and interacting with them, there will be a happier mood in the environment. Team leaders and managers must find a way to include this kind of behaviour, without hampering the processes of the company. Arrange for meeting, parties, and other gatherings outside of work, to make everyone in the organisation feel like a part of a family.

Grow Business GloballyDo you want to grow your business globally?

Would you like to minimize the risks and maximize the chances of success?

Every entrepreneur wants their business to succeed globally. If you want to expand your business globally, you need to catch the attention of the potential users.

As a founder of Space-O Technologies, I’d like to share my experience of expanding my company to the USA.

Here are some tips that can help IT companies expand their business globally.

  1. Know your Company and Industry:
It is important to understand your company and the target users. There will be constant updates and innovations in the industry. In order to know what’s going on around the corner, keep an eye on the industry trends and market. If you want to enhance the sales, identify the potential clients and build rapport with them. It is important to understand the users’ behavior and find new ways to attract them.
  2. Define Business Plan for Global Markets:
The business owners should identify the company’s present status and think of a business plan. Build a strategy to develop the customers’ trust and loyalty. Rather than replacing the customers you lose, you should try to retain the old ones. The main focus should be to build long term relationships with the customers.
  3. Build your Business on the Basis of Customer Experience:
You won’t be able to maintain a loyal customer base if you do not pay attention to the customer experience. Dialogue with your users and understand what they feel about your products or services.
  4. Be Transparent:
If you’re making changes within the organization or business processes, you should keep the customers informed. They would feel that they’re getting attention and would become aware of the changes. You should also have them voice their feelings and feedbacks.
  5. Choose the Headquarters:
There are several factors that should be kept in mind while selecting the headquarters of your company. Choose the HQ where talented skill set is available. While entering into the new market, you should do some research and find the right destination for HQ.

Expanding your business globally is not easy. For achieving success on an international level, you should focus on customer loyalty and retention. Look for new ways to grow your global reach.

Swell App

Purchase of Swell confirmed by Apple

Swell App

The deal between Apple and Swell has been confirmed now. Though the company did not comment on the purchase price, rumors are out that the deal was worth $ 30 million as Noted by appleinsider .

As Radio app Swell offers a fantastic mix of different podcasts and this app has definitely helped podcasting reach the point it required to be at. Congrats to the Swell folks.

The Wall Street Journal reporter Daisuke Wakabayashi has confirmed the purchase of Swell on Tuesday.

Apple confirms Swell deal w: we buy “smaller technology companies from time to time, and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans.”

— Daisuke Wakabayashi (@daiwaka) July 29, 2014

And, the Closing message displayed on the Swell’s Website

Thank you for using Swell over the past year. We wanted to let you know that the Swell service is no longer available. We’ve been inspired by the opportunity to create quality products that positively impact users’ lives, and we are grateful to all our listeners. Thank you everyone for your support!

The bad news for Swell users is that the app is probably going to shut down. It would be great if Apple builds it directly into their podcasts apps. But nothing is said about it. Swell was available for free download on iOS App Store, but Apple would remove the free download option. Wondering what made Apple make such a decision?

It is assumed that the simple and user friendly interface of Swell was the major reason to Apple’s acquisition of the product. The service goes beyond by analyzing the user’s listening habits and offers a personalized podcast stream. The users could simply hit the play and start hearing the songs that might be of the user’s interest.

It is presumed that Apple would be inviting Swell’s team to join the company. With Swell, Apple is also making some additions to its team to help the giant deal with the podcasts apps. If they cannot transform it into something completely new and innovative, they should at least be able to improve the podcasts app.

Not sure what’s the major goal of Apple Inc. behind it. Apple purchased Beats earlier this year and now, we hear about Swell, it seems Apple is building some music platform for the music lovers. Let’s wait to watch the clear-cut story!

This news has come soon after Apple bought BookLamp. Apple kept the news of purchase of Swell under the wraps until last week. Apple has completed 29 acquisitions since the last 9 months. Hope this deal proves to be worth buying!
